This is to proudly announce the launch of a 2-year Research Project in collaboration with LSE (London School of Economics) – Middle East Center and amazing colleagues from Portugal, France and Germany.

The Project shall investigate the socio-spatial role of roads/streets on the cityscape and the neighborhood scale, using Abu Dhabi as a major stage of reference. Hopefully, findings will consolidate (or reject) stereotypical views of the streerscape of the new Arab city and will attempt to redefine standards, manuals, approaches and strategies accordingly.

It is a Project that increases international recognizability of ADU and the Department of Architecture.

I’d personally like to thank LSE-Middle East Center for their support, Alexandra for her leading efforts and the rest of the team. Good things are coming…
