Research trip to Sydney, Australia. 21-27 September 2025

That's a wrap!
I am so happy and proud to present another first for the Department of Architecture of Abu Dhabi University.
As part of a 3-fold collaboration with University of Technology Sydney and its UTS Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building, I travelled to Sydney, Australia together with three talented students of ours (Maria Martins, Sabila Patel and Aynaz Bidgoli) for a week-long, first half of a joined workshop and research project, entitled "Quantifying Quality of the urban space: A generative approach", led by Prof Mohammed Makki.

Apart from the joined research, ADU and UTS have joined forces on 2 more opportunities:
●Students' exchange programs
● a 4+2 combined Program in Architecture (Bachelor's and Master's degrees)
hoping that they will strengthen the academic and mobility relations between the two countries and universities even more!

Lastly, I would like to thank the UTS, Prof. Mohammed Makki and his students for their warm hospitality. Sydney is a magnificent metropolis and it wouldn't have been the same for us without them. We are really looking forward to their visit to Abu Dhabi.
