Ajman Urban Planning Conference

It has been an honor contributing to the Ajman International Urban Planning Conference.
It has been the second time I have been invited to speak at an event in this dynamic city, that tries its best to escape Dubai's shadow.
I was part of a great panel, that included Prof. Jihad Awad, Prof. Khaled Galal Ahmed and Tim Fu.
I was able to present recent research that I have conducted in Abu Dhabi University in various collaboration schemes with other institutions on Abu Dhabi's urban morphology and emphasized the importance of the element of inclusion and surprise in overdesigned cities such as Abu Dhabi.
Such conferences are vital in preserving and refreshing the debates on the urban condition between academics, professionals and authorities, as well as in disseminating knowledge to the local communities.
