Exhibition of students’ work - DES580 Architectural Photography

The Course DES580 – Architectural Photography, a professional elective for the Programs of Architecture and of Interior Design offered at Abu Dhabi University, ended its Winter Term obligations with a Students’ Work Exhibition.
The exhibition, entitled “Abu Dhabi streetscapes: Walking experiences”, displays the three best works of each student.

Dr. Apostolos Kyriazis – the tutor of the Course that was praised by the RIBA accreditors – couldn't be more proud, as all students produced some highly-standared photography work, shooting entirely on Manual mode, for the needs of 5 major assignments: Building facades, Interiors, Studio work with models, Public Space (that included an urban photo walk in downtown Abu Dhabi) and then a final combined portfolio. The students’ work combines both technical and aesthetic efficiency, ideally manifesting the strong ties of photography with urbanism, architecture, and interior design.

Dr. Apostolos would like to thank the two visiting lecturers, Ram Manoj, brand ambassador for Sigma lenses, and professional photographer Jon Wallis, as well as the Department of Architecture and Design, and the College of Engineering, for their support in implementing this small event, and of course, the students for making this course as powerful as it can be.

The small exhibition, situated at the Atrium of the Umm Al Emarat building, opened on Monday, February 23rd, in sync with the commencement of the Spring Semester and will remain open for one week.
